Glass Company Serving Wake County, NC

Need a shower door installed, a cracked storefront pane replaced, or a mirror cut to your size in Wake County? Rice’s Glass Company handles residential and commercial glass projects from our family-owned shop in Carrboro, where we have been in business since 1959. We also make our own insulated glass. Read on to see what we supply and how to get started, or visit our Raleigh, Cary, or Apex page for your town.

The Glass We Work With

Different projects call for different kinds of glass. These are the types and products we supply:

• Tempered glass, used in our shower enclosures and tempered commercial entrances.
• Insulated glass, which we manufacture ourselves and which is available with Low-E options for windows and sliding doors.
• Laminated glass and flat glass for a range of residential and commercial needs.
• Mirrors, including custom shapes, polished or beveled edges, and mirrored wardrobe doors.
• Glass tabletops cut for furniture.

If you are not sure which type belongs in your project, our team can help you sort that out when you call.

Home Projects in Wake County

Residential work is mostly about customizing the rooms people use every day. We design shower and bath enclosures in frameless heavy glass, custom framed styles, and European-design models, with a choice of finishes, glass patterns, and textures. We are also an authorized distributor for Alumax bath enclosures.

For the rest of the house, we handle replacement windows and sliding glass doors, custom mirrors, and deck enclosures. Our residential glass services page shows the full range.

Commercial Projects in Wake County

For businesses, property managers, and building owners, our commercial glass services include:

• Storefront glass and curtain wall systems.
• Glass entry systems and tempered entrances.
• Commercial replacement glass for panes damaged by accidents, vandalism, or weather.
• Armortex ballistic, blast, and forced-entry resistant glazing for security-focused applications.
