Glass Services in Raleigh, NC: Home and Business Projects

Raleigh homeowners and businesses can call on Rice’s Glass Company for custom shower enclosures, replacement windows, sliding glass doors, mirrors, storefronts, glass entrances, and commercial replacement glass. Our shop is in Carrboro, and Raleigh is one of the communities we serve across the Triangle. The sections below are organized by project type, so you can see what fits your situation before you pick up the phone.

Glass for Raleigh Homes

Most home glass projects begin with a specific problem: a dated tub, aging windows, a bare wall that needs light. Our residential glass services are built around those everyday needs, and our sales staff can walk you through finishes, tints, edging, and textures.

Updating a Bathroom: Frameless or Framed Showers

A frameless heavy glass door uses thick glass and very little metal, which keeps a shower looking open and uncluttered. A framed enclosure surrounds the glass with metal, a different look that suits other bathrooms. We also install frameless sliders and bypass enclosures, and we can build around odd angles, sloped ceilings, and buttress layouts. Handles and towel bars come in several styles. Browse our shower doors and bath enclosures for the full range.

Replacing Windows and Patio Doors

If your windows are worn or outdated, we offer vinyl windows, thermally broken aluminum windows, sliding glass doors, and storm windows. We make our own insulated glass and can provide Low-E options, which add a coating that reflects part of the light spectrum. Which combination makes sense depends on your house, so it helps to talk it through first. Start with our replacement windows and sliding doors page.

Mirrors, Wardrobe Doors, and Tabletops

Custom mirrors can be cut with polished or beveled edges, with openings for outlets and lighting. The back coating is meant to guard against scratches and humidity-related oxidation. If a mirror is what you need, see our custom mirrors. We also supply mirrored wardrobe doors and glass tabletops, and anyone planning a sunroom or porch can ask about deck enclosures.

Glass for Raleigh Businesses

Commercial customers range from shops that want a refreshed front to property owners dealing with a single cracked pane. Our commercial glass services cover both, and we work around the demands of a busy business.

Storefronts and Entrances That Greet Customers

People judge a business from the sidewalk, and glass is the first thing they see. We install glass storefront systems, glass entrances, and tempered entrances to give a building a professional, welcoming exterior.

Damaged Storefront Glass

Not every problem calls for a new front. A minor accident, vandalism, or storm damage may only affect part of the glass. We assess the damage and suggest commercial replacement glass when that is the practical fix, recommending a full storefront, entry system, or curtain wall replacement only when it is the sensible choice.

Curtain Walls and Armortex Security Glazing

We build customized curtain wall systems for commercial buildings. We also carry Armortex ballistic, blast, and forced-entry resistant systems, offered at several protection levels for places such as banks, schools, and government offices. Call us to talk through whether that level of protection suits your property.
